Leave your bandage on for up t 24 hours, Second skin can be left for several days if undisturbed.

Please wash your hands with proper antibacterial soap prior to touching any of your bandages. If your second skin has “ruptured” and plasma is leaking before the 24 hour mark please wash your hands and remove your bandage under lukewarm water. Contact your artist for further guidance.

After Removing the bandage, Gently wash.

After removing the bandage, wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and fragrance-free, Antibacterial soap. Use your clean hands to gently remove any excess ointment, blood, or plasma. Let air dry briefly.

Once dry, apply ointment.

Apply a thin layer of ointment, provided by your artist after your session. If the provided ointment is unavailable please opt to use Unscented/Fragrance free lotion. Use sparingly, just a very thin layer on your fresh tattoo. Enough to make it “glisten”.

Keep it clean and dry

Wash your tattoo 2-3 times a day and apply a thin layer of ointment each time for the first 3-5 days. After that, switch to using a mild, fragrance-free lotion to keep the tattoo moisturized.

Avoid soaking your tattoo

For the first 2 weeks, avoid soaking your tattoo in water (e.g., baths, swimming pools, hot tubs). Showers are fine, but avoid direct water pressure on the tattoo.

Avoid sun exposure and excessive sweating

Protect your tattoo from direct sunlight and tanning beds during the healing process. Also, avoid activities that cause excessive sweating until your tattoo is fully healed.

Watch for signs of infection

While some redness and irritation are normal, watch for signs of infection such as prolonged redness, swelling, pus, or fever. If you notice any of these symptoms, contact us immediately or seek medical attention.

Patience is key.

Your tattoo will go through various stages of healing, including scabbing and peeling. Do not pick or scratch at the tattoo, as this can affect the final appearance.

Schedule a follow-up appointment if needed to touch up any areas and ensure your tattoo looks its best.
